Nour Hamida is an experienced attorney who represents individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in criminal proceedings, governmental and internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation in both state and federal court.

Prior to joining the firm, Nour was an associate at an international law firm in Los Angeles, where her practice included the representation of large financial institutions and prominent individuals in both high-profile and discreet litigation matters. Nour clerked for the Honorable Sheri Pym of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and served as a judicial extern for both Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge André Birotte Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Nour is experienced in managing cases at every stage of litigation, including discovery, drafting and arguing substantive and procedural motions, and preparing for and participating in trial. Nour also regularly volunteers her time for pro bono matters.

Notable representations include:

  • Defended a medical doctor charged in a $355 million federal health care fraud prosecution. After a three-month trial, the jury fully acquitted the client on all 33 felony counts. All other defendants were convicted on all counts.

  • Defended a medical doctor charged with $13 million Medi-Cali fraud. Obtained a bail reduction of over $10 million and several other significant improvements to the doctor’s pretrial electronic monitoring conditions.

  • Part of a trial team that secured a complete victory in defending the lien priority of lender’s $200 million in senior funding in connection with litigation arising out of the Oceanwide Plaza LLC default.

  • Secured a favorable settlement in a Section 1983 civil rights action on behalf of the family of a victim of a fatal police shooting.

  • Secured a preliminary injunction against the enforcement of newly-adopted prosecutorial directives, which was affirmed in substantial part on appeal in a published opinion.
